Almost all Marketers who blog, has a blog signature at the end to each post they write. While some are easy and plain, others are rather flamboyant... And there are a few that are somewhat in between. But one thing that I noticed among the majority of the blogs I've seen is that they are not generating leads using they're signature.

It's crucial because generating leads is the main purpose of your blog. You have to have your blog setup in a fashion so that it's optimized to do exactly that. That means, placing opt-in forms wherever you can that looks fine, and/or, giving links to lead capture pages that looks great. Your blog signature is one of the best places to put a link to a lead capture page.
How You Can Generate Leads With Your Blog Signature
I change my signature every now and again, but this one above is one of the signatures I rotate. If you notice, this signature is very simple... But what makes this signature so effective is the post signature. It asks an easy, but powerful question. The link directs them to my MLSP lead capture page. I have also other signatures that links to other lead capture pages. Very soon, I will put a lead capture banner at the end of each post. Of course I will outsource this.
How To Set Up A Blog Signature
There are several ways to do this. You may do it manually after every post. This is a benefit, because you can do each one in different ways. However, from a time perspective, it's painful to do that, in my view, so I chose to use the WP Post Signature plugin. With this plugin, you may input HTML, and also plain text. If you like to use HTML, you may use a HTML generator like SpiderWebLogic, set your blog signature up the style you like, then, click the HTML button, then, copy and paste the code into your WP Post Signature settings... And voila, she is done!!
Blog Signature: The Bottom Line
The bottom line is simple. As I said before, the main objective of your blog is lead generation, so you must give your visitors MORE THAN enough opportunities to join your list. Almost everybody uses pop ups, and have an opt-in form at the top right hand corner, but I haven't found too many Online Network Marketers with a lead generating signature.
